Gurley Arrow

I love the game football! I love Burnet the town and community. I am excited about the future and we plan to win some district and state championships in the future.

Mother was a HS Athlete

Mom excelled in sports at Stonewall High School, playing softball, basketball, and track. She was an all-state slow and fast pitch player, a standout pitcher and shortstop. Additionally, she was an all-region basketball player as a point guard and made the all-state Indian team in both sports. In addition mom was also Choctaw princess in 2006. Despite college sports offers, she chose to pursue nursing and is now an RN. Go, Mom!

Grand Father - Native American + High School Hall Of Fame

Grandfather Randy Heck, hailing from Coalgate, Oklahoma, was a prominent athlete. Half Chickasaw/Choctaw, he excelled in sports. He achieved all-state recognition as a running back in high school football and was later honored in the Coalgate High School football hall of fame. Additionally, he showcased his talent in baseball and track. His memory lives on, as he passed away a few years ago.

Born/raised/Head start Chickasaw day Care

My family is awesome. I have a supportive mother who can shoot the 3 ball. She is where I get my Native American background and I am grateful to be Native and have the support of my tribes. My younger sister Faith is a beast in the weight room. She is creative, smart, and she loves volleyball. My little brother Banner is like a little hulk. He is going to be a physical football player. It will be fun to support them and help them as a big brother.

Scouting Report

GABE GURLEY

Class of 2029, Quarterback ,Legacy Ranch

Scouting Report

Gabe Gurley, a standout middle school football player at Llano Middle School, possesses exceptional skills and knowledge of the game beyond his years. Demonstrating remarkable footwork, fundamental arm motion, and a keen quarterbacking IQ, Gabe is operating at a high school level at this stage. The pace of middle school football is notably slower for him, enabling him to adeptly read coverages, make audibles, and execute run/pass options with ease. Gabe continuously hones all aspects of his quarterbacking abilities. His trajectory suggests he'll seamlessly transition into a high-level varsity starter during his freshman year of high school. Gabe is a quarterback that coaches eagerly look forward to working with, driven by his infectious passion and energy for the game. He's dedicated to becoming the best and fearlessly tackles any challenges that come his way. Gabe Gurley embodies the ideal foundation for a team, not only for his impressive skills on the field but also for his likable personality and ability to uplift those around him. He's a diligent and hardworking young man, deeply committed to refining his craft and understanding the importance of effort in evolving into an elite QB. His intelligence and arm strength stand as significant assets. With a promising future ahead, a remarkable individual and athlete in every sense.

“I love my teammates, coaches, teachers, my HCE family, My Oklahoma family that always supports and loves me. Without all of you I would not be who I am today and who I am going to be in the future.”

What the Coaches Say

“I want to say thanks to everyone for this opportunity. My support team starting with my dad who is amazing. He is hard on when it comes to my grades because grades costed him the chance to play at Arizona. He not only helps me with football, but he helps me with life. We can talk about anything and he tells me the truth, even if I do not want to hear it. He helps my friends and teammates as well. He knows the game of football more than anyone I know. He works with trainers and coaches to help me. He doesn’t over step and always tells me to respect everyone. There are a lot of ways to play the game. Listen, learn, and always get better. I am extremely grateful to have him in my life and all the resources I have. These resources and my support team allow me to be the best I can be.”
